In drywall construction all kinds of projects can be realized very quickly and nearly dirt-free. The Primo products for electrical installation in plasterboard walls or wood panelings help to ensure that the construction progress is even more efficient. The innovative materials make well-known and time-consuming work steps obsolete. This results in significant time savings and final products with high quality. This makes the construction site even more fun.

With the new, groundbreaking Q-Series cavity wall boxes you can work faster, cleaner and more efficiently than ever before. With an impressive diameter of 74 mm and innovative functions, they set new standards in electrical installation

Qnect Cavity Wall Box

Wire faster, achieve more

With a diameter of 74 mm, the halogen-free and airtight Qnect Cavity Wall Box (depth 62 mm or 49 mm) offers significantly more installation space than conventional electronical boxes. In the case of multiple combinations, the boxes can also be firmly connected to one another at the standardized combination distance of 71 mm. This enables easy through-wiring without connecting pieces. So you can complete your installation in record time.

UniQ Cavity Wall Box

The unique cavity wall box

Install boxes from the back? This saves an incredible amount of time! The wall is still open and cables and conduits can be easily inserted into the UniQ Cavity Wall V-Box. Fixing slats ensure a firm hold in the building material. Thanks to the diameter of 74 mm, the hexagonal design and the depth of 73 mm, the new product is also suitable for use as an electronics box. In addition, the boxes can be firmly connected to one another in multiple combinations at the standardized combination distance of 71 mm. This enables simple through-wiring without any connecting pieces and makes your work noticeably easier.

Qnect Soundproof Box

Soundproofing meets speed

With the Qnect Cavity Wall Sound Insulation Box (depth 62 mm or 49 mm), you can install sound insulation up to 58 dB in drywall in no time at all – regardless of whether the boxes are one-sided, offset or opposite. In addition, the boxes can be firmly connected to one other and easily wired in just a few seconds.

Cable Holder

Practical helpers for drywall constructors and electricians

Time-consuming, expensive and bothersome search holes are a thing of the past! The Primo Cable Holder is put on the first plasterboard wall and marks the box to be installed. The mandrel pushes through the insulation and the second plasterboard wall. This makes the position of the box clearly visible See for yourself!

Multi Box

The allrounder in drywall construction and renovations

With the Multi Box complex constructions or extension rings to adapt the installation box to the plaster thickness are no longer needed. Thanks to the unique technology, it adapts to any wall thickness. This makes installation absolutely simple and time-saving. See for yourself!

UNI-FLEXX

Installation in rafter insulation

A visible roof construction is a visual highlight in any timber construction, but presents the electrician with great challenges. Until now lights, loudspeakers or other built-in devices could only be installed with complicated constructions. The Uni-Flexx now offers the optimal solution for this. In conjunction with the XL 150 installation housing, safe installation under the insulation is child’s play. See for yourself.

How has to be drilled for the Q-Series? Will a 68 mm drill bit fit?

No, for the Primo Q-Series Cavity Wall Boxes, a hole must be drilled using a 74 mm drill bit.

What is the advantage of the installation diameter of 74 mm?

With a diameter of 74 mm, the installation space is significantly larger than that of conventional electronical boxes. For multiple combinations, the Q-Series boxes can be firmly connected to one another at the standardized combination distance of 71 mm – before installation. The SCS connection technology with its large-area connection membrane including Cable-Plopp technology enables easy through-wiring without connecting pieces. This saves you significant time!

Why does the Qnect/UniQ cost more than a standard cavity wall box?

The Q-Series Cavity Wall Boxes are all halogen-free and airtight, offering numerous advantages and application possibilities in a single box. With a diameter of 74 mm, the installation space is significantly larger than that of conventional electronical boxes. For multiple combinations, the boxes can be firmly connected to one another at the standardized combination distance of 71 mm. The SCS connection technology with its large-area connection membrane including Cable-Plopp technology enables easy through-wiring without connecting pieces. This noticeably saves you working time!

Thanks to its mounting claw, the Qnect can be fixed to panels with a thickness of 0 mm to 37 mm — something that’s not possible with standard cavity wall boxes. In addition, the box features a total of 8 screw domes, allowing flexible alignment. When installing the UniQ from the rear, no screwing is required at all, resulting in significant time savings.

Can the UniQ Reverse Cavity Wall Box be used as an electronics box?

Yes, as the UniQ is larger than a conventional cavity wall box, it offers significantly more installation space. For multiple combinations, the boxes can be firmly connected to one another at the standardized combination distance of 71 mm. The SCS connection bar can then simply be broken out. This allows for time-saving installation of pre-wired devices.

For which wall types are the Q-Series Cavity Wall Boxes suitable?

The Qnect is suitable for walls with a thickness of approximately 2 mm or more:

  • OSB board
  • Wooden plate
  • Plasterboard
  • Metal

The UniQ is suitable for double-planked walls made of:

  • OSB board
  • Wooden plate
  • Plasterboard

Do the Q-Series Cavity Wall Boxes provide sound insulation?

Not fundamentally, but that’s why we developed the Qnect Sound Insulation Box. It provides a protection level of 60 dB thanks to sound-absorbing material and sound-optimized membranes.

Do the Q-Series Cavity Wall Boxes offer cable retention?

Yes, the Q-Series Cavity Wall Boxes offer secure cable fixation through cable retention up to 2 kg / 20 N.

When installing the UniQ from the rear, is the hole drilled from the front or the back?

With the UniQ, we recommend drilling the hole from the front. This allows you to mark and drill the boxes precisely according to the installation plan. It also creates a cleaner hole, as drilling from the back risks fraying the drywall, for example.

The drywaller tears down the Cable Holder – what to do?

DIN 18299 (General regulations for construction work) requires that damage and impairment of other trades must be avoided when carrying out work.

We recommend discussing and finalizing the handling procedure with the Cable Holder during the construction meeting. This will benefit all trades (electricians, drywallers, and the client), for example, no cable searching, no filling in gaps, and no ripped-out insulation.

How can I save costs with the Cable Holder on the construction site?

What’s the most expensive thing on a construction site? Labor! The Cable Holder eliminates unnecessary exploratory drilling for the electrician, as well as rework for the drywaller and plasterer. A second measurement is also eliminated.

Does working with the Drilling Template take longer?

The big advantage is that you only have to mark the hole once. There’s no need for subsequent alignment of the box. Our Bohr-Fixx is the perfect accessory for this. Turning the screwdriver or drill clockwise cuts an opening in hollow walls, e.g., made of wood, plasterboard, or mineral fiber; turning it counterclockwise ejects the drill core fully automatically and effortlessly.

Which borehole is required for the Uni-Flexx?

For the Uni-Flexx, a 74 mm drill hole must be drilled in the rafter insulation.

Is the Uni-Flexx vapor-tight?

If the Uni-Flexx and the XL 150 installation housing are installed under the foil, ideal thermal management is ensured. If drilling through the foil is subsequently carried out, the area must be professionally sealed.

Does only the Primo core bit fit on the Bohr-Fixx?

Any standard 4-hole crown from 38 mm to 127 mm fits on the Bohr-Fixx.
