XL-SERIES INSTALLATION HOUSINGS

Absolutely concrete-tight, mounted in seconds and numerous possible applications. With the new XL-Series installation housings, Primo has developed all-rounders that are perfect for mounting all special installation housings – from luminaires to loudspeakers to other built-in components. The modern membrane technology can be opened effortlessly with a cutter knife, the conduit grip ensures reliable strain relief and, thanks to the integrated conduit stop, bothersome and time-consuming rework is no longer necessary. The electrician thus saves work, time and money and is well able to meet the growing demands on the quality of installation work.

The trio for every building site! Thanks to three different sizes, the XL-Series can be used on all building sites and for all types of loudspeakers, luminaires and operating devices.

XL 150: 157 mm housing diameter, 0-140 mm installation diameter
XL 200: 200 mm housing diameter, 0-185 mm installation diameter
XL 250: 300 mm housing diameter, 0-285 mm installation diameter

With at least 25 entries each, all variants of the XL-Series offer sufficient space for cables or conduits in sizes from M9 to M40. The maximum installation depth of built-in devices in the XL-Series is 110 mm. The halogen-free polypropylene multitalents are heat-resistant from -5 °C to 100 °C and can also be used outdoors.

SIMPLE INSTALLATION

IN A FEW STEPS

With the help of the integrated marking on the front part, align the installation housing in the precise position on the formwork. Mounting on the wall is similar to mounting on the ceiling.

The integrated nail fixation in the front part allows easy and fast assembly. If the reinforcement has already been installed, the Primo Nailer helps with simple and injury-free fastening.

Place the installation housing on the front part. The optional additional universal tunnel offers high flexibility during installation.

Subsequently, the installation housing can still be rotated by 360°. Supports below the universal tunnel ensure that no further reinforcement has to be cut out.

Open the membrane with a cutter knife.

Insert cables and (rigid) conduits as desired without additional tools. Thanks to the membrane technology, the system remains absolutely concrete-tight. The combination entries offer space for cables and conduits in sizes M9 to M40.

The conduit grip ensures reliable strain relief – in all different sizes.

The conduit stop prevents the conduit from being pushed in too far. Bothersome and time-consuming rework and shortening of the conduits are consigned to the past. This leads to more efficient consumption of conduit material in the long run.

The removable cover enables cables and conduits to be pulled into the installation housing even before concreting. Thanks to the integrated membrane sealing lip, everything remains absolutely concrete-tight.

Fasten the installation housing to the reinforcement for additional security.

Attach the second reinforcement. Due to its stable design, the installation housing impresses with its high impact resistance.

Another option: Fasten the installation housing with the Wings directly to the reinforcement.

THE XL-SERIES

EXTENSION RING

The XL 150 extension ring and the XL 200 extension ring can be pushed onto the corresponding installation housing to create more installation space by increasing the height. The extension rings can be connected to one another until the desired installation depth is achieved. The push-fit system ensures a fast and stable connection. With the help of the extension rings, the installation housings can also be retrofitted, for example in precast slabs with in-situ topping.

WINGS

The installation housings are fastened directly to the steel reinforcement with the help of the Wings. Neither a counter bearing nor a support element is required. Depending on the direction of the attachment of the wings to the installation housing, a concrete cover of 20 – 40 mm or, with a rotation of 180°, of 40-60 mm is possible.

TUNNEL

With the universal tunnel additional connection space can be gained, which is suitable, for example, for larger electronic components. It can be pushed onto the Primo XL 150, XL 200 and XL 250 installation housings.

FRONT PARTS FOR INDIVIDUAL SOLUTIONS

Various front parts in a square (68 – 75 mm) or round (68 – 180 mm) design are available for the Primo XL 150, XL 200 and XL 250 installation housings. As a further option, the mineral fibre board (145 – 195 mm) can be used for individual cut-outs. The XL-Series is thus suitable for every conceivable area of application.
